Frisco is actually owned by Chewy, an exclusive house brand created in 2015. Chewy was founded in 2011 by Michael Day and Ryan Cohen, an online-only retailer of pet products. Even if they’re a relatively young company, they have grown rapidly and became acquired by PetSmart in 2017.

From 2011 until today, the company is known for the best shopping experiences and competitive prices for all types of pet products. From various dog and cat products, including best cat litter for odor control and good selections of cat litter, their house brands are manufactured in Canada and the US.

Frisco cat litter is one of their popular brands, known to be value products with good quality at affordable prices. It’s the reason why they are so popular today since Frisco offers a variety of cat products from cat condos to litter for multi-cat households.

Even until now, they show promise as they continue to produce all their litters for people to enjoy.

Handles Tough Litter Boxes With Multiple Cats

One important thing to consider is if the Frisco cat litter is meant for all cats, AKA single or multi-feline households.

Frisco cat litter claims to have the over-engineered cat litter in general, and because of this, most of their litter are made for multi-cat households. Just take note that some of them are made only for single cat households, and don’t worry, I’ll mention what the types of their litter products are suitable for.

That’s why I appreciate their wide variety of cat litter available, as it reaches an even wider audience and ever clean cat litter review. Rather than making it suitable only for a single cat or small households, bigger homes and owned with more than three cats can enjoy good cleanups without the odor, too.

Most of their litter products suitable for multi-cat households clump extremely well, too. There have been no huge issues and all cats sharing litter boxes appear to enjoy the litter’s texture and lack of any odor.

Price Review and Where to Buy

Frisco isn’t available in other online stores or physical pet stores, and you can only avail it in Chewy.com. Some physical stores may offer it, though it’s rare and with prices higher than what’s stated on the official website. The same would go for other third-party online stores, as the brand is owned by Chewy!

Fortunately, the prices are adequate and affordable, especially when you purchase it directly from the company. Furthermore, they offer free shipping for orders over $49 or pay a shipping fee of less than $5. That’s a good deal considering how expensive shipping fees can be. Besides the shipping deals, they also come with coupons you can avail, having significant price drops or discounts to have you save even more money.

But unfortunately, they do have shipping location limits and are only able to ship to home addresses within the United States. Hopefully, they can expand their shipment options!

Top Four Frisco Cat Litter Reviews

After doing my research and tests, these are the top four Frisco cat litter reviews to check out:

1. Frisco Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter

This isn’t only one of the most popular cat litters from Frisco, but around the world as well! It’s known as the cornerstone of Frisco’s business because of how well it performs, with thousands of reviews and excellent ratings.

The cat litter doesn’t rely on any gimmicks or “special” materials and additives to do its job. Rather, it simply focuses on getting all the essentials done right, creating an effective product that both cats and owners love to use.

The clay litter offers strong clumping action, drying quickly and forming large and are balls which are heavy. This shows just how solid the litter is, which makes the litter unlikely to attack your cat’s fur. As a result, it clumps well AND doesn’t track at all.

Furthermore, this is an unscented litter, meaning that it relies solely on odor elimination rather than masking it with scents. With both odor elimination and strong clumping, everything works amazing and provides the best user experience for both owner and cat.

2. Frisco Fresh Scent Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter

This clumping litter actually works exactly the way the first product does. The only difference is that this litter is scented. And yes, while I’m a bit hesitant in recommending scented products because it ends up smelling artificial or strong, I have had no problem with this cat litter.

Because there are natural antimicrobial properties the cat litter has, it eliminates odor well and reduces the scent’s need to cover it up. So don’t expect the scent to be overly strong but fresh and light. That’s what makes a scented litter a great choice, only if it doesn’t produce the artificial and powerful scent that destroys your nose!

Another great thing about the cat litter is that there are other variations of scents to choose from. The two best ones are lavender and tropical-scented litters, which provide the delicate smell that both cats and owners will like.

3. Frisco All-Natural Grass Clumping Cat Litter

The Frisco All-Natural Cat Litter is one of the most eco-friendly litters available now, made purely from the grass. This is a great choice for those looking to save the environment because it doesn’t use mining operations for clay, though it has good clumping abilities similar to it.

There are NO artificial chemicals or any other nasty ingredients that may harm your cat. It’s simply made, and again, purely dried grass. This makes the litter absorbent, with clumpy forming well and staying strong. While it locks away smells adequate, clay litter is better at this aspect.

Furthermore, this grass litter is easy to clean without much tracking and dust, which is a huge plus for owners. It also has the soft texture and is unscented, with the only natural smell of grass, a plus for the felines. It’s more expensive, as expected, but the added cost is worth the investment for great clumping action without the chemicals.

4. Frisco All-Natural Pine and Corn Clumping Cat Litter

While I do appreciate the Pine and Corn Clumping Cat Litter for its attempt at being all-natural, it has its downfalls. I would avoid this particular Frisco cat litter because it lacks any of the clumping action it claims to have. There are only very small clumps that are hard to clean and still emit an odor!

Furthermore, it has a rough texture that cats may reject, making it useless if they won’t use it! Coming at an even higher price than its other natural and clay litters, you won’t get value from the investment. If you’re looking for something natural, then the grass litter is your best bet. Unless they can improve on this liter’s formula!

My Final Verdict

Overall, do I find the Frisco cat litter a worthy purchase? That actually depends. While some of their cat litter have stellar performance, others may fall in some aspects. But with that being said, it still continues to provide adequate performance that makes it a good choice for cat litter today.

I highly appreciate that all of its clumping action is good, as well as the affordable price. You actually get more than what you pay for in some litter products of theirs, which is a plus!

However, I recommend that they stick with clay and other more traditional litter materials. While I do appreciate them trying with the pine and corn litter, it still has more opportunity to improve. With that being said, you still get good enough performance, just not for its price set.

Overall, I enjoy Frisco and would recommend most of their litters for anyone on a budget.

Wrapping It Up

Frisco continues to be one of the leading brands for pet products today and they have premium choice reviews, and with their many cat products, you can’t go wrong with their litter. While they do have a few minor drawbacks, they still continue to provide quality for all feline households. Plus, they come at good prices, making it great for those on a budget or would like something more affordable.

Hopefully, my Frisco cat litter reviews helped you make the choice on what to buy for your cat’s toilet needs today. So don’t wait any longer and look into getting any of these litter products now.
