Tidy Cats is made under Purina, one of the most popular companies out there known for their excellent pet products, from food to cat litter. They are one of the well-known for a reason, and it isn’t just because of their variety of pet products, but the large selection of cat litter as well.

Like mentioned, Tidy Cats comes from Purina. Though the brand name Purina is already its own established brand, Tidy Cats has also built its own name and became one of the most popular in the cat litter industry.

I know that this doesn’t mean a product is good or bad, but because there are millions of people worldwide purchasing from Tidy Cats, it shows that the company’s doing something right! After all, you can’t get any success if no one has raved about your products to the point you become a house name.

With decades of experience in most pet products, you can also see that they have done their research and used their expertise to create the right formulas for cat litters.

The Variety of Products Offered

One of the reasons why Tidy Cats Litter is as popular as it is today is because of its wide selection of products available. You’re able to choose different types of litters according to what both you and your cats need and prefer. This is great for all types of audiences and cat owners because we have individual needs at home.

They offer litters which range from the traditional clumping clay down to the non-clumping or non-clay products. Besides this, they also offer lightweight products and even team up with companies like Glade to improve the way their litter performs in scent and clumping. With huge partnerships like these, you’re able to benefit from the improved performance of the different litters they have to offer.

Best Known For Their Clay Litter

Like mentioned, Tidy Cats Litter tries to expand their products and explore the different materials in cat litter. However, their foundation is built in clay-based cat litters, with their reviews showing how their smart clay formula continues to perform excellently. It’s clay that helped them stay where they are today!

That’s another advantage to Tidy Cats, as they never change their formula and only tweak it according to individual needs, creating different varieties of clay-based litter. But not to worry about feeling limited to choosing clay litters, as they have a huge variety and continue to expand to different materials. It’s great that the company continues to branch out and accommodates those who do want to branch out and get other types of cat litters.

Great For Tough Litter Boxes

Tidy Cats Litter is made for homes that have poor ventilation or have space restrictions. They are also made for multi-cat litter boxes where it endures a lot of use throughout the day. While these are tough situations to deal with (imagine the odor and cleaning to be done!), the litter company tries to continue to innovate their litters while sticking with their formulas to accommodate such situations.

This is probably the reason why Tidy Cats Litter sticks with their clay-based cat litters as well. Clay is one of the best materials and most popular medium to deal with various cat litter situations, known for its versatility and adequate clumping abilities at a more affordable price.

A Lot Of Sizes and Affordable Options

Other than the variety of litter materials and types available, they also have a wide range of package sizes. It’s actually by far the widest selection of sizes and bags compared to other litters reviewed.

You can choose from small five-pound pouches up to containers that weigh up to 50-pounds. Because of this, all types of cat owners and homes can have litter according to what size they need.

If you have a multi-cat household, you can cut costs and get bigger containers. If you only have one cat and live in a smaller home, then pouches and lighter weights will work better. Whatever you need, Tidy Cats Litter most likely offers it.

Where Can Your Get Tidy Cats Cat Litter?

Besides the variety of the cat litter you can choose from, a universal benefit of all Tidy Cats Litter is that it’s easily accessible. You’re able to find it in various physical pet stores and online as well. Purina created an individual website for Tidy Cats for you to be able to find and purchase your chosen litter easily.

However, if you’re unable to access the website or your country isn’t available for shipment, then you’re able to find it in your local stores or even from reputable websites and sellers like in Amazon. They will be able to assist you and provide the chose Tidy Cats litter with ease.

After much research and tests, these are the 14 top Tidy Cats Litters you can check out (in order from best to worst):

1. 24/7 Performance Clumping

This is by far my favorite of all the Tidy Cats Cat Litters available. This is because the clumps stay solid and will stay that way for days, not being susceptible to crumbling or what. Furthermore, the odor control is excellent, with both feces and urine odor locked in the clumps for days at a time regardless of how busy the litter box can be. For highly absorbent and provides up to seven days of odor control naturally, you can check okocat litter review. The only complaint is minor tracking, which is very bearable. But do take note that with a litter offering the best of all features, you have to pay for it. Though like I say, you usually get what you pay for with cat litter.

2. Small Spaces

Like mentioned, this is the best for small areas because of its excellent odor control without strong fragrances. It keeps the litter box area fresh and without overbearing smells that waft around the room.

Besides this, it offers the amazing clumping abilities for its price, making cleanup a breeze. There is little to no odor even when the litter box is located in a restricted space or with little air ventilation!

I also like the fact that it comes in a jug and it’s easier to pour, making cleaning and maintenance easy to do. You can find this online at reasonable prices, fitting anyone’s budget because it’s pretty affordable.

3. Instant Action Non-Clumping

This product is average, or close to above average with both clumping and odor control. However, what makes this one of the top choices is its cheaper price. The clumping isn’t the best and can saturate easily in tough litter boxes, making it dusty and not suitable for sensitive owners and cats.

However, it fights odor well and is above average in this area. Even after a few days, there is only a slight smell and nothing more. If you don’t have a busy litter box (less than four cats) and want something on a budget, you’ll appreciate this one.

4. 4-in-1 Strength

This product is above average, though nothing extra exceptional about it, though the price is great. It has no major faults at all and does its job in keeping the litter maintainable. I also appreciate its 4-in-1 approach, a unique way to advertise and offer your products.

With just tiny adjustments to the formula and how it works, I feel like this would be a better choice. Especially with its chemical smell and how the clumps turn into mush easily. Other than that, it does lock in the feces and urine odors rather well for a few days before it needs replacement.

5. 24/7 Performance Non-Clumping

This one comes at such an affordable price, though you’ll need to make do with its clumping abilities (or, lack of it). Because of its non-clumping feature, the litter is quite dusty and there are issues with tracking. Other than that, it can really lock in odor well and capture those smells for up to ten days at a time.

There’s no litter smell AND no waste smells, which is what I appreciate about this litter product. For its price, you get your money’s worth and it’s a great choice if you’re focusing on odor and prefer something that’s non-clumping.

6. Glade Tough Odor Solutions Non-Clumping

This litter is pretty average considering it comes at such an affordable price. Like mentioned, Tidy Pets partners with Glade for some of their liter products for better odor protection and control, with this one being a prime example. However, while it does lock in the smell, it does it in such a way that it simply overpowers the smell with artificial fragrance.

The strong fragrance can end up being a turnoff to some owners and their cats. Furthermore, it’s a non-clumping litter, which some may not appreciate. But at its price, you can overlook these flaws, as long as you don’t mind the smell!

7. Lightweight 24/7 Performance

While the Lightweight 24/7 Performance works well, its features are forgettable. Sure, I appreciate the fact that it’s lightweight and easier to handle, but its downside is its poor clumping, which also affects the way it locks in odor.

Because of its high asking price and how messy it can be to clean it up from the clumping abilities makes it a bit discouraging to get. The clumps would stick to the bottom actually, if not monitored well. As long as you’re maintaining it and spreading the litter equally daily (a hassle), you won’t have to worry about both clumps and odors.

8. Glade Tough Odor Solutions

The clumping is decent and can fight off the cat waste smells. But for its price? I feel like the previous reviews I’ve done above are better at a more reasonable cost You can actually get the similar features from products like the Small Spaces without the hefty price tag.

However, it’s enough if you’re looking for something easier to clean, as it has low dust levels and the adequate enough clumping. You’ll need to replace it more often, adding to its cost, but you do get excellent odor control without the strong fragrance or dealing with gross smells.

9. Instant Action Clumping

It comes at a decent and affordable price, but I still feel like you don’t get what you pay for here. This is because this litter would struggle with high amounts of cat urine. While it handles feces well, it would have a difficult time clumping up urine, even creating messy urine balls.

However, that problem only happens with multi-cat households. If you have less than three cats, it’s not much of a problem and clumping is good enough. A suitable choice for single cat owners on a budget, especially since it does clump hard for feces.

10. Yesterday’s News Original

Tidy Cats stepped away from the normal types of cat litters available, this time venturing into different materials. One of these is Yesterday’s News, with the litter being made of actually recycled newspaper. While the newspaper material does do a great job in dealing with odor control it doesn’t clump at all and can be quite messy to clean after. Besides this, it finds difficulty in absorbing too much urine, a problem with multi-cat households.

But if you do want something environment-friendly without the smells, this is a good choice. Just watch out for its higher price range.

11. Lightweight with Glade Tough Odor Solutions

While I do like the fact that it’s both lightweight and partnered with Glade, the downfall is its dustiness. It’s too dusty for a cat litter and in the end, it would affect the way it clumps. While it still has good clumping abilities, it’s quite a hassle to clean because of the dust it would create, also tracking a bit because of it.

Since it’s in the premium-priced area, I would be hesitant to purchase it again. However, it does have its advantages, such as it being extremely lightweight and with great odor-controlling features that masks off smells excellent (despite the clumping). For more odor controlling features, you can check fresh news litter review as it holds in odor and works great.

12. Lightweight Instant Action

Honestly, this cat litter is too expensive for what you’re getting with it being at the premium price range. While it’s really lightweight and locks of odors quickly, I’m a bit surprised with how it clumps.

If it won’t be able to take on the many feces and urine, it would turn to gooey balls than solid clumps. And while it does lock in odors, it has a strong scent from the Glade ingredients, which smell artificial.

While it does last long for cat litter, at what cost? I don’t recommend this Tidy Cats litter and would move on to other litters from the company.

13. Pure Nature

While I highly appreciate Tidy Cats exploring other materials and making environmentally-friendly litters, it has its issues. This litter made with cedar, pine, and corn, is difficult to clean because it doesn’t hold in moisture well. Even single cat boxes will have trouble in holding in moisture and keeping its odor away.

It’s moderately-priced for cat litter, though the only advantage to it is its eco-friendliness and not much else. If you would like to try something natural, I would still suggest Yesterday’s News.
