Cat care reference

What to buy for your cat, by type and by brand.

Start from the thing you are buying — litter, food, a box, a feeder — then narrow to a brand. Every table says where it came from and when it was last checked.

How this works

Properties, not prices

What a litter is made of, whether it clumps, which life stage a food is for, how a box removes waste — these are stable properties. They stay true for as long as the product is made. Street prices are stale within weeks, so this site does not publish them.

Every product table is flagged one of two ways. Current line-up means we checked it against the maker or a major retailer this year, and any change since our original review is noted at the top of the page. As reviewed means the table lists what our own review named and has not been re-checked — honest about its age rather than quietly presenting it as today's range.
