Plan the mounting position before using the self-groomer

This brush is intended to attach to a corner or a flat surface with the supplied mounting tape. Before choosing a position, check the surface type against the instructions and consider whether the finished mount can be inspected. A brush placed where the cat already rubs can be convenient, but the adhesive still needs a suitable prepared surface and the specified installation method.

The soft polyethylene bristles are listed at 0.4 inch long. They provide a different contact surface from a handheld wire slicker or a multi-head grooming blade. The cat controls how it rubs against the fixed brush, which means you cannot assume it will reach every part of the coat or use it for the same amount of time as a supervised brushing session.

Choose a mounting height by the supplied guidance and your cat's actual approach, rather than copying the height of furniture in a product photograph. Leave enough surrounding space for the cat to turn away and for you to remove collected hair. Do not position the brush where rubbing against it would obstruct a doorway or require the cat to balance on a narrow edge.

The included funnel relates to the built-in catnip compartment. Check the instructions for filling and closing that compartment; the funnel is not evidence of a water reservoir or a shampoo-dispensing function. Catnip response differs between cats, so that feature should not be treated as a guarantee that the self-groomer will be used.

Inspect the mount and brush body during routine cleaning. If the unit moves, do not assume that extra improvised tape will restore the intended installation. Follow the supplied replacement or refitting guidance. Choose it as a fixed rubbing surface that complements coat inspection, not as a way to eliminate all hands-on grooming checks.
